S.F. Parents Place Workshop

Was That Me Yelling? Yelling can be caused by many things such as stress, fatigue, frustration, anger, or temperament differences.  Most parents agree that yelling isn’t beneficial, but report that they just don’t know what to do when their children misbehave. We will discuss how to come up with a plan and learn more about what triggers your yelling. It’s nice to know you’re not alone!

Date: Wednesday,  January 23rd, 2013

Time: 7-9PM

Age Group: Preschool through Elementary

Place: Parents Place, 1710 Scott Street, San Francisco

Price: $35

Regaining Friendly Relations for Parents

I’m excited to announce that my husband Mick will join me on January 24th  for a fun workshop for parents about how to regain friendly relations. Children add whole new dimensions to the kinds of things you and your spouse or partner argue about. How to discipline, bedtime, chores, and time alone,  are just a few examples in a long list of issues. We’ll discuss why you argue, how you argue, and how to make up.

Talking With Kids When Bad Things Happen

Here is an interview I did on KQED Radio on 12/14/12 after I heard about the brutal shooting in Newtown Conn. I wanted to make sure parents turned the TV and radio’s off when their kids came home from school that day.

Love your children well….and may they be cherished and safe.
